I am a Ph.D. student in the Department of Sociology at the University of British Columbia (UBC), located on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the Musqueam people.
My research interests lie in cultural economic sociology, professions/expertise, and psychotherapy. For my dissertation project, I examine how the structure of the psychotherapeutic field in China shapes its practitioners' claims to professional status and healing practices. I am also interested in gender, sexuality, migration, disability, and mental health issues broadly.
